Faith & Power History
In the early 1980's a young seargent in the the Army and semi-pro football player was radically transformed in small, on-base church in Germany. This came after a long rebellion from his childhood roots in a traditional church in Central Florida. His encounter there caused him to hunger and search for the super-natural manifestation of God's power. If Jesus' last words before ascending into heaven were, "and these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they ... function in the same power that he did (Mark 16:17-18); why settle for anything less? After returning to Central Florida, he found that most churches that appeared to be flourishing did not necessarily have this same desire until he experienced the ministry of Benny Hinn at Orlando Christian Center. It was evident that there were many others that believed in the same God.
